‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 11 Spoilers: Episode 13 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In ‘Staring At The End’?
Can Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) save Dr. Herman’s (Geena Davis) life? That’s what episode 13 of “Grey’s Anatomy” will explore when “Staring At The End” airs on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 8 p.m. EST.
According to the synopsis for tonight’s installment of the hit ABC medical drama, Amelia will come a hair away from uncovering a medical marvel, a discovery that could ultimately eliminate Herman’s brain tumor. However, until Amelia’s research is finalized she will need to prepare Herman for the forthcoming surgery by shrinking the walls of the cancerous lump.
“The radiation treatments are going to help,” Amelia says in a sneak peek for episode 13, adding that the radiation will shrink the border of the tumor, making it easier to resect. But Herman wants no involvement in radiation therapy, considering the treatment will only make her feel sick during her final days.
“I’m sick, I’m losing my hair -- I refuse to spend the last few months of my life feeling like a pile of crap. No more. That’s final,” Herman declares. However, Amelia is set on buying Herman more than just a few months. “I’m going to save your life. And I’m about to get up in front of a bunch of people and tell them how I plan on doing it,” she responds.
The synopsis states that the hospital doctors will become fascinated with Dr. Herman’s case when "Amelia gives a lecture detailing the intricacies of the surgery.” This indicates that Amelia’s presentation must have gone well.
While Derek’s (Patrick Dempsey) sister continues to scheme on how to save Herman, Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) will cozy up to her mentor as they “bond over the amount of cases they are trying to complete before the big surgery.” But from the looks of a promo video, Callie (Sarah Ramirez) will glow a little green with jealousy as she sees her ex getting closer to another woman -- but not for the reasons you would expect.
“When did this happen?” Callie questions. “She found the perfect rebound without actually having to find a rebound. She gets all the good times and the fun. None of the bad times and the mess -- no chance of getting hurt. You don’t even have to wax. It’s not fair!”
“Grey’s Anatomy” will air episode 13, “Staring At The End,” on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 8 p.m. EST.
