The wait is finally over. After a brief break and a one-week premiere delay, “Grey’s Anatomy” is returning to ABC. The winter premiere is slated to be a big one, though it will not reveal Alex’s fate as many had hoped.

When the show left off the pediatric surgeon, who physically attacked DeLuca (Giacomo Gianotti) in Season 12, was preparing to plead guilty and accept a plea deal to save Jo (Camilla Luddington). Fans will have to wait until episode 11 to find out what Alex (Justin Chambers) ends up doing, as the winter premiere will instead focus on other doctors. Photos for the episode confirm an earlier spoiler revealed by Luddington.

As she told Entertainment Weekly, her character will team up with Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) to help a pregnant teen in a women’s prison. Based on the photos and the network’s synopsis for the episode — titled “You Can Look (But You’d Better Not Touch)” — the doctors will struggle to treat the girl, who has violent tendencies, and adjust to their unusual surroundings.

The episode will also introduce some new faces to “Grey’s Anatomy” viewers. Photos reveal the appearance of both Klea Scott and Jasmin Savoy Brown in the episode. As was previously reported, the actresses are two of three guest stars appearing in episode 10.
