'GTA 5' Meets 'Guardians Of The Galaxy': Dancing Groot Appears In Mod [VIDEO]

Groot makes an appearance in a modded version of action-adventure game “Grand Theft Auto 5.” The beloved character from this year’s Marvel superhero movie "Guardians of the Galaxy" plays a number of roles in the mod, which even features the self-regenerating hero as an exotic dancer.

Groot accomplishes a number of features in the mod, which is just under four minutes. The video’s intro shows the tree-like humanoid surviving gunfire, taking down a helicopter, and then heading over to “GTA 5’s” in-game strip club, the Vanilla Unicorn, to perform a couple of lap dances for an eager patron, who also looks like Groot.

The video was created by YouTube user taltigolt and has already garnered more than 10,000 views on the video-sharing site.

Groot, one of the main characters from the Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” superhero team, was created by Marvel’s Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers. The character first appeared in Marvel comic “Tales to Astonish” in 1960. Groot was recently brought to life in this year’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” film, where he was voiced by Vin Diesel and quickly became a fan favorite.
