KEY POINTS

  • "GTA 6" is one of the heavily rumored unannounced games
  • Rockstar Games has not yet confirmed that it is working on the game
  • Rumors indicate the gaming studio may announce the game very soon

Many fans believe Rockstar Games would soon launch the highly anticipated "GTA 6" based on the recent activities of the gaming studio.

Rockstar Games posted three job listings last week for game testers to work on an upcoming project for its studios in Lincoln, India and Edinburgh. Fans believe the job listings are concrete proof that the gaming studio is moving forward with the production of "GTA 6," The National reported. Gaming studios usually hire testers when the game is in the final stages of development and is approaching its launch.

To many fans, the new information appears like a confirmation that "GTA 6" is almost finished and is nearing its official announcement. The job posting in India is different from that in Edinburgh though. In the job listing for India, Rockstar Games is looking for candidates with knowledge and understanding of past games developed by the gaming studio. This suggests this has something to do with a sequel of a popular series, which could be "GTA 6," "Bully 2" or other games.

While many fans seem excited about the job listing, it does not appear to be solid proof that the game developer is indeed moving into the testing phase of "GTA 6." Nowhere in the job listing does it mention any game, especially the much-awaited "GTA" sequel.

Also, there is no official announcement from Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive about the game.

Rockstar Games previously made it clear that its current focus is on "Red Dead Online" and "Grand Theft Auto Online." Also, it is preparing to release the expanded and enhanced edition of "GTA 5," which is set to launch on next-gen gaming consoles this year. There is a high probability that the game testers are for these titles and not for "GTA 6."

Rumors about the imminent launch or announcement of "GTA 6" have been rife recently. One contributing factor is Take-Two Interactive's presence at the upcoming E3 all-digital event.
