  • "GTA 6" could return to Vice City
  • This was hinted by Take-Two Interactive's new domain registration, GTA Vice City Online
  • "GTA 6" development updates remain scarce

Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have been keeping mum on the development of "GTA 6." However, a domain name registered by the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise's holding company may have just provided a hint about the sixth installment's location.

Franchise fans have only gotten rumors and leaks about "GTA 6" so far, but some Reddit users may have recently stumbled upon something huge. Take-Two was found to have registered the domain GTA Vice City Online, possibly hinting at a return to Vice City.

Rumors have been circulating for a while now of "GTA 6" being set in Vice City, which most may not have heard about since the 2006 PSP release, "Vice City Stories."

On the Reddit thread, some users suggested that the domain name is a massive hint that "GTA 6" is coming, while others felt that this was just a marketing ploy by Take-Two.

Some, on the other hand, suggested that this registration may have been done simply to acquire the domain tied to the "Grand Theft Auto" series. Take-Two could have other plans for it, but the only feasible link right now is tied to "GTA 6."

For those who may not be aware, Vice City had a lot of secret areas and hidden gems. Gamers had a hard time uncovering and exploring that map so returning there makes sense. And there is perhaps no better way to re-introduce that by using it for the installment that most are eagerly awaiting.

Finally, it would be best to note that "GTA: Vice City," the fourth overall title in the "Grand Theft Auto" series, did not have an online mode during its time. Though it is over a decade old, returning there would no doubt have both longtime "GTA" gamers and those who were unable to experience it excited for the upcoming installment.

"GTA 6" remains under development and little has been shared, including when it will finally be released.

However, some "GTA Online" players believe that Rockstar Games may have slipped in a teaser of the "GTA 6" release or announcement date within the game, Comic Book reported.

The teaser may have been placed on the security doors of the Los Santos Airport. Some had the number "2013," which was the year "GTA V" was launched. Other doors, meanwhile, say "2021" and nothing else, leading some gamers to speculate that this could be related to "GTA 6."

However, it has been advised to take this with a grain of salt as Rockstar Games has not commented on this latest rumor.
