'Guardians Of The Galaxy 3': What We Know So Far
There were some concerns about “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” after director James Gunn’s exit previously. However, since Gunn is back on the project the movie is now set to begin filming next year.
Marvel has a full slate of movies for the next two years, and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” has been announced as one of the projects. The script of the movie has been written by Gunn, and according to Screen Rant the plot is set after the events in “Thor: Love and Thunder.”
Just after he was fired from the project, Gunn had expressed his disappointment about not being able to complete Rocket’s (Voice by Bradley Cooper) character arc. With him back at the helm, it is safe to assume that he will complete the arc as originally planned.
While it remains to be seen which of the main character Gunn plans to kill off in the film, a big part of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” will be the fact that there will be a time jump of a decade, Screen Rant reported. The plot is set after the events in “Avengers: Endgame,” and that means the heroes may have changed dramatically from how they were in the previous movies.
Gunn is currently busy with “The Suicide Squad,” which is a project he agreed to take on after he was fired by Disney. The movie is set to be released in 2021.
Filming of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is expected to begin in 2020. The movie doesn’t have a release date yet, but it should be ready for release by 2022. However, since “Black Panther 2” is scheduled to be released in May 2022, Gunn’s movie may be pushed to 2023. Details about when the film will be out may be revealed after the production is complete.
