'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3': James Gunn Refuses Dance-Off Requests
KEY POINTS
- Fans want a dance-off between Thor and Star lord in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3"
- James Gunn refused the fans' request
- There is no confirmation that Thor is in the movie
There have been rumors that Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will be a part of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.” The exciting possibility made fans to request a dance-off between the God of Thunder and Star Lord (Chris Pratt). However, director James Gunn took to social media and refused this fan request.
Star Lord previously challenged the villain Ronan (Lee Pace) to a dance-off in the 2014 to distract him. The funny sequence became an instant hit, and the fans requested Gunn to have a similar sequence in the next movie, and this time it can be between Thor and Star Lord.
Responding to these requests on Instagram, Gunn said that the dance-off is “not gonna happen,” Screen Rant reported. The director has already finished the script of the third instalment and given it to Marvel for review. It may be difficult to make changes to the story, but there is another reason why the dance-off won’t happen.
Although the fans would like to see Thor in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” there is still no official confirmation that the character is featured in the movie. During the red carpet event of Pratt’s new movie “Onward,” the actor said that there’s no “definitive” answer to whether the God of Thunder is there in his next film, IGN reported.
It remains to be seen what new characters will be a part of the upcoming film. According to a popular fan theory, the fans may get to see Adam Warlock in the film, Screen Rant reported. The character’s presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) was teased in the sequel that was released in 2017.
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” will be released in 2021. The producers haven’t announced an exact release date yet. The film is expected to end the story arcs of some of the main characters like Rocket (Voice by Bradley Cooper).
