Gwen Stefani–Blake Shelton Relationship Update: Singer Says Boyfriend Is Her Best Friend, Wins Glamour Women of the Year Award [PHOTOS]

Singer Gwen Stefani was honored at Galmour’s Women of the Year Awards in Hollywood, California on Monday, but she couldn’t stop gushing about her boyfriend Blake Shelton.

The fashionista and pop icon took to stage in a beautiful cross neck halter gown with a black dye when she was honored at the event. She thanked Shelton for “kissing me back to life.”

“It’s incredible to have a best friend like that guy,” the 47-year-old singer told Entertainment Tonight, “He’s an amazing person.” Stefani and the 40-year-old singer have been dating for over a year. The duo met within months of splitting with their respective spouses. Stefani started dating Shelton after she split from husband Gavin Rossdale and he divorced his wife Miranda Lambert.

However, Stefani used her music as a way to channel all the bitterness created from the divorce. “I was so blessed to have music as an outlet and to be able to share my story and to get all that love,” the “You’re My Favorite” songstress revealed, “It was basically like giving and receiving of love all year long through music. It was just an incredible year for me and I’m so grateful.”

The mother of three sons has received considerable praise for her latest album “This Is What the Truth Feels Like.” “This year was like someone said, ‘Hey, wake up!’ and I was like, ‘Whoa! Oh my god!’ I thought I was seeing in color, but now I’m really seeing in color. I didn’t know I was in a cocoon ready to bust out.”

Prior to this event, Shelton and Stefani were seen at the White House State dinner. “The Voice” judge cheered his girlfriend as she sang at the black-tie event. The couple have been assiduously supporting each other since they started dating.
