Gwen Stefani And Ex-Husband Gavin Rossdale Don’t Always 'See Eye To Eye' On Co-Parenting After Their Divorce
Following their divorce in 2015, Gwen Stefani and her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale are learning how to co-parent, which involves an agreement on how to handle the holidays with their three boys. With Father’s Day only a few days away, Stefani and Rossdale have made arrangements to have the boys spend time with their dad on that Sunday afternoon, Hollywood Life reported.
While Stefani and Rossdale have had their share of issues co-parenting, a source for the news outlet said the No Doubt singer is often burdened with most of the parenting duties.
“She knows Gavin is a great dad when he’s with the kids, she just wishes she’d get a little more help when it comes to school, schedules, etc.
“She gets frustrated and overwhelmed with it all sometimes as Gavin sometimes finds it challenging to balance career and kids. She really is the primary decision maker and truly is a super mom. Gwen is much better at it,” the source added.
Finding a co-parenting arrangement that works for their family was not easy as the ex-couple don’t “see eye to eye on several things,” the source said. But Stefani has agreed to put her differences aside to let her boys spend some time with their dad on Father’s Day.
“Gwen and Blake are totally supportive and understanding of Gavin having the kids on Father’s Day as it’s his day and that’s their father,” the source told Hollywood Life.
With Stefani now dating Blake Shelton for nearly four years, the country singer supports her boys and likes to spend time with them whenever he can. While the boys don’t call Shelton “Dad” he is there to help and cares for them deeply, the source said.
“Blake is simply Gwen’s boyfriend to them, but he’s so helpful with the kids and truly cares for them and is always there as an ear to listen and support Gwen as she deals with Gavin and issues that arise from co-parenting.”
