Pop singer Gwen Stefani has revealed that she was not happy with the decision of Nick Jonas replacing her as one of the judges in the highly successful singing competition, “The Voice.”

According to Entertainment Tonight, the 50-year-old musician won’t be seen sitting on the red chair in the competition when it returns to the small screen next year, but she was not at all happy when she found out that Nick will be taking her spot on the esteemed panel.

Speaking with iHeartRadio LIVE, the “Hollaback Girl” hitmaker revealed that she never had a say on who should replace her on the show. The musician also stated that if the makers would have asked her this question then the “Jealous” singer would not have been a part of the show.

“If I had a say, Nick Jonas would not be on ‘The Voice,’ it would be Gwen Stefani,” Stefani said.

The acclaimed singer was at the event to celebrate the re-release of her album “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” at the iHeartRadio Theater in California.

She also sent an inspiring message to Jonas, in which she said the show will be really good for Jonas to work harder on his own music, too.

In October, it was announced that the “Sucker” hitmaker would be joining Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Blake Shelton for the upcoming season of the show.

Nick confirmed the news on Twitter and wrote at the time alongside a snap of him smiling that he is really excited to be part of such an amazing show.

On the other hand, it was recently reported that Stefani and Shelton are expected to marry each other within a year. A source told Page Six that their marriage is inevitable. The day they announced themselves as a couple, the wedding was on the cards.

The insider also shared that the wedding can take place anytime soon, but there won’t be a grand engagement. The couple would want to share this special day with their loved ones only. The source went on to confirm that the wedding might take place within a year.

The “Sweet Escape” singer and Shelton met on the set of “The Voice” in 2014. That was the time when both of them got separated from their respective partners.
