KEY POINTS

- Gwen Stefani is rumored to be making up excuses not to marry Blake Shelton
- Gwen Stefani is accused of ruining Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert's marriage
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been dating since 2015, and there are rumors that they will soon announce their engagement.
But multiple sources revealed last month that the No Doubt singer’s religion as a devout Catholic is stopping her from marrying Shelton.
“A wedding hasn’t been a priority, but when it becomes important, they will take the steps they need to do it properly through the eyes of the church,” a source told Entertainment Tonight.
On Twitter, Stefani was accused of being a hypocrite and for using her religion as an excuse not to marry her longtime boyfriend.
“She’s a devout Catholic who basically broke up a marriage and is shacking up with her twice-divorced boyfriend??? Yeah… that’s lovely,” Twitter user @Michelle53811 said.
“That might be an excuse not to get married yet but they could have been engaged if their intention was to be married as soon as allowed by the Catholic church. I believe the whole getting annulment is another publicity stunt,” Twitter user @maxinemax35 said.
“I’m shocked the roof didn’t fall in when they walked into the church! Biggest hypocrites ever!” Twitter user @Tequila_Does said.
“It’s funny to read this from a fan of a cheater,” Twitter user @loragbI1 said.
Meanwhile, some netizens accused Shelton of being a cheater, while others claimed that it was his ex-wife, Miranda Lambert, who cheated in the first place.
“The cheater I see in that photo is Blake… what’s your point?” Twitter user @Michell53811 said.
“Lambert said in a 2011 interview, ‘I knew that he was married, I saw their wedding photo in Country Weekly. I knew better. I knew it was forbidden.’ I think it’s very clear that the affair with Miranda led to a divorce and you tell me that Gwen ruined the marriage. The deception ended in divorce, karma,” Twitter user @loragbI1 said.
“Why do so many of you take pleasure in constantly dragging someone else’s name through the mud. I can guarantee you #Everybody has dirt in their own lives. I hope you all find something better to do with your life in 2020,” Twitter user @Marcey_RanFan said.
