Gwen Stefani To Return To Oklahoma For First Time Since Marrying Blake Shelton [Watch]
Gwen Stefani has opened up about her Christmas vacation plans, revealing that she intends to visit Oklahoma for the first time since she married Blake Shelton.
"We leave next week to go to Oklahoma, it's a tradition. My whole family flies out, and we have not been back there since the wedding," she told media outlet ET. "So I'm really looking forward to it."
The 52-year-old singer, who performed at "The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration" on Wednesday, noted she has a new house in Oklahoma and is looking forward to celebrating her Thanksgiving there. "We have a new house there. We have, like, a new life there. So it's gonna be our first married Thanksgiving! Very grateful, very excited."
The official handle of the outlet shared on Twitter a video of the singer, saying that she "can't wait to make memories with her family this Christmas."
Considering the Thanksgiving celebration, the singer noted her mother, Patti Flynn, likes turkey in a specific way, while her husband Shelton, 45, likes to experiment with multiple smaller turkeys.
"They did like the hot Cheetos turkey one year, and then this year I think they're doing bacon-wrapped," she said, adding: "I don't know, it's all the boys are talking about the different things they're gonna do."
However, the singer noted they have never made mac and cheese turkey yet, but added that this year they will. "That's the new addition. Every year I feel like we add something new in."
When the reporter asked the singer what she is expecting this Christmas as a gift, Stefani said, "I just want my kids to have just the most great memories that we could ever make together this Christmas, and I know that we'll be able to do that."
Stefani started dating Shelton in 2015 and the couple tied the knot in July this year.
On the work front, Stefani dropped her music video, "Slow Clap," in April. Whereas, the "Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration" event is all set to air on the ABC network on Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. You can also stream the event the next day on the Hulu platform.
