Newly resurfaced footage shows Gwyneth Paltrow alleging that movie mogul Harvey Weinstein was a coercer in 1998. Paltrow, then 26, spoke about Weinstein with talk show host David Letterman on his former project "Late Show with David Letterman."

The Goop founder admitted that she would have ordinarily been celebrating Thanksgiving with family in California at the time of the appearance, but Paltrow claimed Weinstein allegedly convinced her to appear on the "Late Show" instead. Letterman then inquired to see if the actress had attended the show on her "own free will."

"Has someone coerced you to be here?" Letterman asked the actress. Paltrow laughed and posed the question: "Do you count Harvey Weinstein as a coercer?"

"I don't know whether he's in some organized crime now," Letterman jokingly said. "He used to be some junior mob kind of guy, right? He was like in the mob auxiliary."

"That's what they tell me," Paltrow continued. "I do all of my movies for Harvey Weinstein, that's Miramax, for all of you [who may not know]. I'm lucky to do it there, but he will coerce you to do a thing or two."

This video footage surfaced days after the actress claimed she had experienced sexual harassment from Weinstein early in her career. Paltrow earned the starring role in the Jane Austen adaptation "Emma," a film that was helmed by Weinstein's company Miramax in 1996. Weinstein allegedly requested that Paltrow pay a visit to his suite at the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel for a business meeting.

Paltrow claimed that the movie mogul allegedly placed his hand on her and suggested they enter the bedroom for massages, according to reports.

"I was a kid, I was signed up, I was petrified," Paltrow said, according to the New York Times.

Paltrow is said to have divulged the information to Brad Pitt, who was the actress' boyfriend at the time. This led to an apparent conversation between Pitt and Weinstein. Weinstein, however, allegedly confronted Paltrow thereafter to advise her to keep the incident under wraps.

Italian actress Asia Argento allegedly depicted her apparent encounter with Weinstein in the film "Scarlet Diva," a feature she starred in, wrote and directed.

More than 30 women have come forward and accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct. Angelina Jolie, Ashley Judd, Cara Delevingne, Kate Beckinsale and Rose McGowan were among the long list of alleged victims. The allegations have included sexual harassment, abuse and rape.

The scandal has resulted in major repercussions for Weinstein, including being removed from The Weinstein Company and divorce proceedings from his wife Georgina Chapman.

Weinstein is under investigation by the New York Police Department and London's Metropolitan Police over the numerous allegations made against him, according to reports.
