Gwyneth Paltrow Wishes She 'Had Made Out' With More 'Dead Poets Society' Cast Members
Gwyneth Paltrow has shared a hilarious response to Ethan Hawke's post celebrating the 33rd anniversary of the 1989 teen comedy-drama film "Dead Poets Society."
The 51-year-old actor took to Instagram on Thursday to share a throwback photo featuring Robin Williams, Robert Sean Leonard, Josh Charles, Gale Hansen, Allelon Ruggiero, Dylan Kussman and James Waterston who all appeared in the iconic movie.
"I stand upon my desk to remind myself that we must constantly look at things in a different way," Hawke wrote in the caption, quoting the famous line in the movie. "DEAD POETS SOCIETY. Released: June 2, 1989."
Paltrow commented on the post, saying, "Best movie EVER, I wish I had made out with more of you than I did." In response, the actor noted, "We all wish the same."
Paltrow's remark caught the attention of fans, many of whom left comments on the post.
"This exchange just made my day!!!" one of them wrote, while another supporter noted, "Omg which of them did you make out with?? My inner 90's kid needs to know!!!"
"I mean, young intellects embracing and wrestling with the words of Whitman and Shakespeare? Voila! It doesn't get better than that," another fan commented. "Also, they were rather easy on the eyes."
"Dead Poets Society" tells the story of a shy boy named Todd Anderson (Hawke) who tries to change the status quo in his school with the help of his intelligent roommate, Neil Perry (Leonard), his other friends and their new English Teacher, John Keating (Williams).
Paltrow was not part of the movie, but she reportedly dated Leonard for a year in the 90s.
The actress and businesswoman tied the knot with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in 2003, but they divorced in 2016. The former couple share two children: Apple, 18, and Moses, 16.
In 2018, Paltrow married writer Brad Falchuk. They have two kids: Claudia Leonard, 10 and Eleanor Leonard, 13.
On the work front, Paltrow was last seen in the movies "Spider-Man: Homecoming," "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame." She also appeared in the TV series "The Politician."
Hawke, on the other hand, will be next seen in the film "Tonight at Noon," which is slated for release this year. He will also appear in the movies "Raymond & Ray," "Knives Out 2" and "Leave the World Behind."
