'HaeSoo' Trends On Twitter As Fans Demand New Series For 'Snowdrop' Couple
"Snowdrop" fans have come together on Twitter for a call to cast Jung Hae-in and Blackpink's Jisoo — more commonly known as "HaeSoo" — in a romantic comedy series just a few days after the pair's poignant K-drama ended.
"#RomComForHaeSoo" and "#RomComSeriesForHaeSoo" became trending topics on Twitter on Wednesday as fans eagerly expressed their excitement for the love team's return, particularly in a romantic comedy series.
The pair's controversial drama series aired its last episode on Sunday with an average rating of 3.4%, the second-highest rating achieved by the show throughout its entire run. The series scored its highest rating of 3.9% for its second episode.
Noting the strong chemistry between Jung and Jisoo, fans of the drama said the love team should not end in "Snowdrop." They think the two celebs should team up for another show, preferably a lighter one, considering the tragedy that came upon their characters in the series.
Warning: Spoilers ahead
"Snowdrop" ended with Young Ro (Jisoo) returning to the coffee shop where she first met Suho (Jung). She reminisced their moments together while listening to the cassette tape Suho gave her before he died.
The finale devastated a lot of loyal viewers so they began petitioning for a happy ending for HaeSoo on Twitter.
"Yup, we want them in a full Romantic-Comedy series with a Happy ending, and you? ROMCOM SERIES FOR HAESOO," a fan wrote.
"It's been days since the drama ended but i don't have the courage to finish Snow Drop without crying. They had the right love at the wrong time, maybe in another drama please give them a happy ending," another fan noted.
"I'll take any kind of drama with happy ending with #HAESOO please," another supporter tweeted.
Even Jisoo seemed emotional about the fate of the show's main characters. The celeb took to Instagram on Sunday to share a vintage-looking photo of herself and Jung on the set of "Snowdrop."
The post's caption was written in Korean, and according to Koreaboo, it translates to, "If only we [could have been]."
Meanwhile, fans noticed that prior to the finale, Jung posted a photo of a music sheet on his Instagram.
It was of Richard Marx's "Now and Forever," and many believe it goes perfectly well with the series' ending.
