Hailey Baldwin Bieber's $10K Yellow Coat Sparks Memes, Compared To Mop, Noodles

Hailey Baldwin Bieber stepped out in New York City over the weekend wearing a fluffy yellow coat that has given rise to a number of memes online.

The model’s fringed shearling coat from Daniel Lee’s fall/winter 2020 Bottega Veneta collection, priced at $9,450, featured a trailing tassel trim that netizens compared to a mop, string cheese, french fries and even noodles.

“Hailey said I wanna be a mop today,” one person tweeted, along with side-by-side images of the star and a mop.

“Hailey, girl. You know I love you. But honey, what the f—k is this car wash rag looking a— coat doing on you?” another wrote.

But a number of social media users also complimented her look, calling her the “queen” of street style. For her Saturday outing, Bieber paired the coat with a pair of baggy jeans, a crop top, trainers and a baseball cap when she went on a coffee run.

The floor-length coat has appeared in a number of fashion magazines, including Harper's Bazaar's September issue where Rihanna is featured wearing it.

Bieber is known for pulling off both high-end and street style fashion with ease, but she’s most comfortable when both her make-up as well as her clothes are comfortable.

"The one thing I've learned is that I'm always the most comfortable when I look the most natural,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “So, when I'm not wearing a lot of make-up and when I am in a cool but comfortable outfit, that makes me feel beautiful. It's been a journey of learning what that is and importantly what that isn't.”

Her husband, Justin Bieber, also prefers her natural look.

“Justin has always preferred me when I'm really natural, too,” Hailey told the publication. “Honestly, his favorite thing is when I'm not wearing any make-up at all. I've been around him when I've had a full face of make-up and he always says, 'Obviously, I think you're stunning but I know I'm going to like it even better when you just shower at the end of the day.'”
