Hailey Baldwin Opens Up About ‘Extra Guilt,’ Lessons Learned After Marrying Justin Bieber

Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber have opened up about their regrets in life and marriage.

In an interview with Hillsong’s YouTube channel, Baldwin spoke about her married life with the “Baby” hitmaker. The 23-year-old model admitted that she was feeling guilty about the things she did before her marriage. She also shared the things she learned after tying the knot with Bieber.

“I put extra guilt on myself to be this good girl, to fill this role of being like this goody two-shoes good girl, and what I learned leading up to being married is it's just not realistic,” Baldwin said. “We all wish there were things we had never done, and we all wish there were decisions we didn't make and mistakes we didn't make.”

Baldwin explained that she wished she walked into her marriage with a “free and clean slate.” But she realized that it was not realistic and somehow her past decisions had put her to where she is today.

“But what I learned being married is that every mistake that I made and bad decision that I made and everything that I was making myself feel guilty for lead to me being married and me being a wife,” Baldwin continued. “We all have guilt and we all shame for things we've done but it doesn't have to define who we are, and it didn't have to define me in my relationship.”

Meanwhile, Bieber also shared his regret in life in the latest episode of their Facebook Watch series, "The Biebers on Watch." One fan asked the “Sorry” crooner about the regrets they have in life. Bieber said he would change a lot of things and mentioned pre-marital sex.

“I don’t regret anything because I think it makes you who you are, and you learn from things. If I could go back and not have to face some of the bad hurt that I went through I probably would’ve saved myself for marriage,” Bieber said.

“I know that sounds crazy. Sex can be kind of confusing when you’re being sexually active with anybody,” he added.

Baldwin didn’t agree because they have different experiences. However, she understood her husband’s point that being physical can be confusing.

Meanwhile, Bieber shared an intimate photo of him kissing Baldwin on Instagram. According to the “Intention” singer, he made the post while his wife was asleep next to him.

“Dear Hailey, as I lay here, you asleep next to me, I think to myself how did I get so blessed. You’re humility, joy and desire to grow blows me away! I am honored to be your husband. I promise to love you all the days of our lives. Good night Hailey I hope you read this in the morning and smile! You are my FOREVER,” he wrote.
