Halle Berry House: Actress Seen Looking for Temporary Home
Looks like actress Halle Berry is in the market for a new home, at least a temporary one.
The Oscar-winning actress was seen checking out beach homes in Malibu on Thursday, per a TMZ report.
Sources told TMZ that Berry wants to find a short-term rental while her Hollywood Hills home is undergoing repairs.
One of the Malibu places she checked out was a beachside four bedroom, four bathroom home, according to the Daily Mail, which posted photos of the digs on their Web site.
The news comes as problems with two ex-stalkers resurfaced for Berry.
One of the stalkers, Robert Dewey Hoskins, threatened to slit Berry's throat, the same threat he gave to Madonna back in the 90s, said a TMZ report. Threatening Madonna earned him 10 years in prison.
Hoskins escaped a mental institution last week, according to an E! report, and police say the 54-year-old man is highly psychotic, a report in The Huffington Post said.
The other stalker, Richard Franco, was arrested last summer after showing up -- uninvited -- at her home three days in a row, according to a local CBS report.
In January, Franco was released from prison early for good behavior and is on probation with a restraining order from Berry against him, according to a local ABC report.
This person has invaded and trampled upon the most fundamental sense of security I have and I am extremely frightened of him and what he might do to me and those I love, Berry said in the criminal complaint, according to an E! report.
Berry is reportedly so scared that she wants to take her daughter, Nahla, abroad and live with fiancé Olivier Martinez.
Gabriel Aubry, Berry's ex-partner and Nahla's father, is said to be furious about this, as he doesn't want to be so far away from their daughter, TMZ reported.
