Hallmark Channel ‘Good Witch: Tale Of Two Hearts’ Premiere: See Cast, Trailer
There’s been a “Good Witch” Halloween special every year, and 2018 is no different. See what Cassie (Catherine Bell), Sam (James Denton), Grace (Bailee Madison), Nick (Rhys Matthew Bond) and the rest of the Middleton residents are up to after the Season 4 finale when “Good Witch: Tale of Two Hearts” premieres Sunday night.
Although their wedding didn’t happen at the end of last season, in this two-hour event, Cassie and Sam will still be preparing to tie the knot. The prep work just so happens to coincide with the town’s prepping for the 200th anniversary of its rivalry with Blairsville.
“The rivalry centers on star-crossed lovers Patience and William, who mysteriously disappeared years ago, leaving behind only a 100-carat ruby – the Heart of Middleton,” the synopsis shares. “Grey House guests Karen (Joanna Douglas) and Addison (Christina Notto) are fascinated by the ruby, which is said to have magical romance powers. Karen, who is curating the ruby’s exhibit, longs to find a man she loved and lost in Paris long ago, and Addison is on a mission to get her boyfriend Edward (Steve Byers) to propose.”
Cassie and Sam are forced to delay their nuptials, but they try to not let it get them down and instead focus on the Halloween Harvest Festival. Meanwhile, Grace (Madison) and Nick (Bond) get ready for all the contests taking place at the town event since it’ll be their final Halloween in Middleton.
As for Abigail (Sarah Power), she’s busy trying to one-up former mayor Martha (Catherine Disher) by getting a celebrity chef named Ronnie Sue (Arlene Duncan) to judge a pumpkin pie competition. Unfortunately, the way Abigail treats Martha causes the former mayor to join Team Blairsville and bring her pumpkin pie recipe with her.
“When the Heart of Middleton is stolen, Cassie suspects a Grey House guest but her magic intuition tells her that it will be returned,” the synopsis continues. “Neither Karen nor Addison benefit from the ruby’s romantic power, as Eddie rejects Addison’s ultimatum, and Karen seems no closer to reuniting with the man she met in Paris. Though romance in town is stunted, the Harvest Festival must go on – including the fiercely competitive town rivalry events.”
Later, the romance returns when the Halloween gala begins. Love’s in the air for everyone, as are answers to a few mysteries. Sam happens to be the one to make the discovery that solves a couple of the town’s latest mysteries. The surprises only continue in Middleton when an “unexpected reunion” occurs.
“At the end of an already perfect night, Sam has one more romantic surprise for Cassie,” the synopsis ends. “Though their planned wedding day did not go as expected, there is plenty of romance ahead of Middleton’s favorite couple.”
Catch “Good Witch: Tale of Two Hearts” when it debuts on Hallmark Channel on Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT.
