Hallmark Channel Unveils New Christmas Movie Marathon, Free Streaming Amid COVID-19 Quarantines
Hallmark Channel seems to know fans of the network might be getting restless during their quarantines in their homes. With no end in sight when it comes to COVID-19 isolation, the network’s parent company seems to be trying to do their part to keep fans entertained while they’re staying home.
According to a press release, the streaming platform that is home to several movies and TV shows under the Hallmark banner, Hallmark Movies Now, will offer an extended free trial period for new users. Whereas the previous trial lasted seven days before users would be charged $4.95/month for the service, now, new users will get 30 days in their free trial. In addition, those who choose to read their romance can get a free eBook version of “A Country Wedding” on HallmarkPublishing.com, as well as seven other titles for just $0.99 each.
However, perhaps most exciting for fans, Hallmark Channel will be airing another new weekend full of their popular holiday programming, with a second run of the “We Need a Little Christmas” marathon. The event will kick off on Friday, March 27, and continue through Sunday, March 29. The only non-holiday programming will be new episodes of the original shows “When Calls the Heart” and “When Hope Calls,” as well as the premiere of their Spring Fling event, with the new film “Just My Type.”
