Halsey's Fans Have Her Back After Getting Hate From Triggering Instagram Post
The “post a picture of” trend on Instagram has gotten singer Halsey in some trouble after she posted a photo of her at her lowest point.
Halsey was asked to post a photo of when she was at her lowest point which no one knew, and she proceeded to post a picture of when she was suffering from an eating disorder. She added “TW: ED” on the photo, but many followers who saw the photo didn’t think the trigger warning was sufficient enough.
She’s been attacked through social media platforms, which has caused her to address the issue via Twitter to apologize to those who felt offended or felt as though there needed to be a better warning.
TW: disordered eating

I am very sorry for posting a photo of myself depicting my struggle with ED without a sufficient trigger warning. I was very nervous to post it and didn’t think properly. I had positive intentions. I would never want to harm someone who shares my struggle.
Some of her fans backed her up, explaining that it isn’t her fault some were triggered when she put a warning on the photo.
people really need to stop expecting entertainers to manage everyone’s emotions for them, it’s awful. they aren’t therapists. they get triggered and they get overwhelmed and they have trauma like everyone else. i hate cancel culture it’s so annoying.

idk why people are trying to reach sm and add things in that have nothing to do with the post itself. the post was asking to show her at her lowest point not weight . her ED just so happened to be that point. she put a tw. if you don’t like what you see, scroll.

While there were very few, some were still upset with her actions.
for the people replying: stop saying that everyone is “blowing the out of proportion” or “turning this into something it shouldn’t have”. yes she apologized and that’s great, but it can still have an effect on others who are struggling. and they were right to call her out for it

Some of the hate from the original post was too much for her to handle, so she announced that she would be taking a break from social media. She has since deleted the story off her Instagram account.
with that being said im gonna log off now because this has turned into something I am not emotionally equipped to handle for the time being. I hope that’s okay 🤍
