Earlier this month, Deadline reported the “Veep” actress’ casting in “Halt and Catch Fire” Season 4 and confirmed that Chlumsky will be appearing in multiple episodes. The publication also noted the importance of Dr. Herman in the final season of the series since her work is crucial to the Search business venture.

Series creator and showrunner Christopher C. Rogers released a statement expressing his excitement over Chlumsky’s casting. “From day one on set Anna has brought a wonderful new energy to the show, that both complements and somehow even further elevates the work of our core ensemble. Anna brings a remarkable depth of personal experience and intention to this role, and we feel incredibly lucky to add an actress of her caliber to our palette even as we bring the series-long story of ‘Halt and Catch Fire’ to a close,” he said.

Meanwhile, old lovers and rivals Cameron (Mackenzie Davis) and Joe (Lee Pace) will once again cross paths when the latter suddenly shows up at the former’s doorstep. Gordon (Scoot McNairy) is also excited for what is to come with the internet.

“Halt and Catch Fire” chronicles the tech industry and the birth of the internet in the 1980s and early 1990s.

In Season 4, the characters are expected to navigate the early days of the Internet while searching answers for the personal and professional questions. Additionally, the competitive nature of the tech world will put a strain on their relationships with each other. “Catch and Halt Fire” also stars Toby Huss as John, Graham Beckel as Nathan, Mike Pniewski as Barry, David Wilson Barnes as Dale, Lisa Sheridan as Rebecca, Maggie Elizabeth Jones as Joanie and more.
