Happy New Year! Before we actually get to the new year and all its promise of new gadgets and fun electronics, let's take a quick look back at the things in 2011 that made us wince. We don't wish to bum you out, but it's that time of year where we look back and remember,(or not) how poorly a product was received or terribly some company handled a given situation. These items are not necessarily in order from worst to best or vice versa.

Also, the items are things that weren't just bad, but also the unexpected and things that let us down throughout the course of the year. Some are specific product launches, some are overall trends and still others are just colossal failures (see Sony PlayStation Network hacking).
