BTS’ Jungkook is turning 19 today!

Since debuting with his BigHit Entertainment boy group in June 2013, Jungkook has been generous in sharing his many skills and talents with fans. The once-camera-shy teen from Busan is now making solo appearances in variety shows such as “King of Mask Singer” and “Flower Crew” and has taken on the challenge of composing and producing songs for BTS.

Fans from all over the world took to Twitter to share their greetings for Jungkook, making the hashtag #HappyJungkookDay trend worldwide on Thursday, Sept. 1. To celebrate BTS’ golden maknae’s birthday, check out 13 reasons why Jungkook is a fangirl's dream below!

1. His voice will make you cry.

As BTS’ main vocalist, you'll often hear Jungkook's voice dominating most of the group's songs. While he's proven that he's indeed versatile when it comes to adapting to different kinds of genres, it's the slow songs that showcase just how good of a singer Jungkook really is. Listen to his covers of Tori Kelly's “Paper Hearts” and Troye Sivan's “Fools” (featuring Rap Monster).

2. His dancing skills are everything.

Jungkook trained for several years before BTS’ 2013 debut, even spending one month training in a Los Angeles studio. Though he was once criticized by BigHit Entertainment CEO Bang Shi Hyuk for his “emotionless” performances, Jungkook’s current dancing skills, honed and sharpened by three years as a BTS member and consistent practice, have improved by leaps and bounds. 3. He loves dogs and they love him back.

4. He's super close with the six other members of BTS and he's not afraid to show it.

The members of BTS have always been known for their closeness and team mentality, and though most of their affection is expressed through gentle ribbing, teasing and tough love, Rap Monster, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook always have each other's backs. Aside from thanking them on social media and praising them on variety shows, Jungkook often shows his love for his members the best way he knows how: by imitating them.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery, right?

5. He's a filial son.

Jungkook doesn't see his parents much, since his father and mother both work most days of the week and his own busy schedule often takes him out of the country. But when he's on a break, he always makes time for his family. In June, he was even spotted on a shopping date with his mom.

6. He’s a budding songwriter and producer.​

Jungkook has been trying his hand at producing since BTS’ 2015 mini-album “The Most Beautiful Moment In Life Pt. 1,” where he penned the ballad, “Outro: Love Is Not Over.” Since then, he’s contributed in other BTS songs such as “Run” (from “The Most Beautiful Moment In Life Pt. 2”) and his recent collaboration with Rap Monster, “I Know.”

7. He’s great at almost every sport.

He's even a pro at archery these days!

8. Jungkook is a living meme.

9. He doesn't like school, with the exception of art and P.E.

In his BTS profile, Jungkook confessed that he’s not the studious type, but he does enjoy drawing and doing physical activities. Jungkook has shown his artistic skills many times over the years, but in one memorable video, he showcases his talent in drawing in a clever and hilarious way.

11. When he’s not going to the gym to bulk up some more, he makes Dubsmashes.

12. He spoils his fans.

When it comes to fanservice, each member of BTS goes out of his way to connect with fans and express their gratitude for their support. Jungkook shows his love in many different ways: posting song covers on Twitter, performing girl group dance covers in variety shows, taking photos with fans during a random trip to Hongdae and occasionally revealing his abs.

13. He’s basically perfect.

There's a reason why Jungkook has been dubbed BTS' “Golden Maknae,” and it's clearly because the boy has everything, from the looks to the personality.
