Harry Hamlin, Daughter Delilah Belle's 'Provocative' Photo Explained

Harry Hamlin and his eldest daughter Delilah Belle Hamlin's controversial photo that some fans have dubbed "creepy" and "provocative" was harmless and taken out of context, according to the photographer of the image.

"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Rinna's husband and daughter made headlines last week over a New York Fashion Week photo, which showed Harry, 70, standing closely next to his 24-year-old model daughter while grabbing her tightly by the waist and pressing his face against the side of hers. The snap sparked concerns on social media, with many users saying they felt the pose was a bit too intimate for a father and his adult child.

However, the family, including Rinna, was "disgusted" by the "shameful" commentary, an anonymous source familiar with the situation told Page Six.

"He is a proud father who was just about to whisper in her ear how proud he is of her," the insider added.

Manny Carabel, the photographer behind the picture, was "absolutely horrified and so distraught" over fans' reactions, according to the source.

The professional photographer told Page Six that he was upset that a "two-minute series of photos taken" was "manipulated into something they were not" and "flipped completely out of context."

Carabel explained that he asked Hamlin if he could snap some photos of him after the photographer was assigned to cover the PRISCAVera spring/summer 2023 runway show in Brooklyn during NYFW in September, which Rinna ended up walking. The actor "kindly replied yes," according to Carabel.

Carabel recalled that Delilah arrived shortly after so the photographer "asked if [he] could get a few shots of Harry with his daughter." The pair agreed and struck a pose.

"As Delilah has a history in modeling, she immediately began to strike a pose, if you will, while Harry innocently posed next to her in [a position] he thought would compliment her best, as any father would," Carabel explained. "In no way were any of [Harry's] movements or demeanor flirtatious, inappropriate or anything derailed from being a loving father."

Though Harry and Delilah's photo was taken on Sept. 12, it recently made its way to social media after one fan shared the picture via Instagram. Harry can be seen standing closely next to his daughter, who is dressed in a sheer top, as she stares seductively at the camera.

"This is not how I pose with my dad," text written alongside the snap read.

Social media users expressed their concerns over the picture, with many calling it "uncomfortable" and "cringey."

Some even jokingly referenced the incestuous storylines of the "Game of Thrones" spinoff series, commenting, "Is this a scene from 'House of the Dragon?'"
