Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho praised his current star striker Harry Kane and explained why he's different compared to his previous ace players, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Throughout his managing career, Mourinho has had many highly-rated players under his wing. Among them are Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic, who became two of the greatest strikers of all time under his tutelage. But despite his experience working with ace players, Mourinho said his current star, Kane, is a different beast.

In Tottenham's decisive 3-0 victory over Leicester on Sunday, Kane delivered once again and scored two impressive goals. After the win, Mourinho spoke to reporters (via Tribal Football) about Kane’s impeccable form for the Spurs.

The manager had nothing but lavish praise for his talisman. And when asked to compare Kane to some of his best strikers, notably Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic, Mourinho said that the England captain is a unique player and "second to none."

"It's difficult for me to compare strikers, but I had almost in every club some of the best, and of course he's second to none," Mourinho said of Kane.

"He's just different, different qualities. But as a striker, as a goalscorer, as a team player, as a leader, I think he is fantastic," he added.

The 57-year-old emphasized that Kane continues to strive to become a better player. Ultimately, Mourinho said Tottenham is lucky to have Kane on the team.

"It's difficult to make him any better. The better the team is, the better he can be. But it depends more on us, on the team than himself. He's an amazing professional, he works very well, he cannot work better than what he does during the week, he's a fantastic striker, I'm so happy and Tottenham are lucky to have him," Mourinho pointed out.

Despite the impressive win over Leicester, Spurs has evidently struggled this season. Previous reports even revealed that Kane has grown unhappy with the club’s failures and suggested that Tottenham should be worried about his dissatisfaction.

Conveniently, Spurs recruiters reportedly found some notable youngsters who could someday become Tottenham’s future star.

Due to the financial crisis caused by the pandemic, EFL Championship club Wigan was reportedly forced to make many of their first-team players available this summer. One of them is 18-year-old Joe Gelhardt.

Tottenham has apparently been impressed by Gelhardt’s form, with Spurs scouts reportedly assuming he could be "groomed into the next Kane."
