Harry Potter Main Cast Over the Years at 8 Film Premieres [PHOTOS]
The first premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows - Part 2 took place in Trafalgar Square in central London on July 7, amid film cast and hundreds of fans. Those who gathered expressed their excitement, as the film got released after months of wait.
The series was about a young boy wizard who must defeat the Dark Lord Voldemort, and was based on the Harry Potter novels written by the British author J.K. Rowling.
Fans, film crew and Rowling, who was also present for the premiere, gave an emotional farewell to famous wizard series as the film will bring an end to the Harry Potter Era.
Emma Watson, who portrays the character of Hermione Granger in the movie, couldn't hold back her tears at the premiere when she listened to her co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint reminisce about their time.
Other movie casts who were present at the premiere were Evanna Lynch, Matt Lewis, Clemency Posy, Helena Bonham Carter, Helen McRory Michael Gambon and Julie Walters.
Harry Potter fans are in the midst of a grieving process -- either for the end of a 14 year period, or for what might be the end for the boy who defeated you know who when he was just a baby. It was more than a decade for fans to get to see their favorite Harry Potter on the movie world, but now it reaches its climax.
In the latest film, Neither can live while the other survives -- is it Potter or the Dark Lord -- fans who have read the books know the ending, but those who have been following via the films only, are in for an ending that is sure to if nothing else bring closure to the film.
It's the end of an era and it suddenly feels like we're moving past our adolescence, our childhoods, said Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter.
