Hayden Panettiere’s ex-boyfriend Brian Hickerson has been sentenced to jail in the domestic violence case filed against him by the Hollywood actress.

The 31-year-old has been sentenced to 45 days in jail by the court after pleading no contest to the two felony counts pressed against him in relation to the multiple domestic violence allegations made by Panettiere, also 31, E! News reported.

Although Panettiere’s ex-boyfriend was sentenced to 45 days, he has credit for 12 days. Additionally, he has been sentenced to four years of formal probation, which he should enter the moment he is released from prison. He must also attend 52 domestic violence classes and pay $500 in restitution.

While Hickerson pleaded no contest to the felony counts of injuring a girlfriend or a spouse, the other six counts filed against him that included assault and battery were dismissed, Us Weekly has learned.

Hickerson is currently out on bond, but he is expected to head to the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles by May 7 and start serving his sentence.

The court has also decided that from here on out, Hickerson would not be allowed to purchase or possess any firearms. The judge presiding the case also made it clear that he should show up in court in October 2022, so authorities could check if he really attended the domestic violence classes.

People first broke the news that Hickerson was arrested in May last year on multiple felony charges, including two charges of assault with a deadly weapon and one of intimidating a witness, who was Panettiere. The eight charges stemmed from multiple abusive incidents that took place between him and the “Nashville” star from May 2019 to January 2020.

Hickerson and the “Heroes” alum started dating in 2018, and their relationship quickly became controversial as they made headlines every time they fought. Hickerson was first arrested in May 2019 after an intense argument between them. He then got arrested for the second time in February 2020 when Panettiere claimed he punched her in the face.

They eventually called it quits after being together for about a year and a half. Panettiere also secured a restraining order from Hickerson last July amid the two cases that sprang from the two arrests.
