Is Hazel-E Suing ‘LHHH’? Star Reportedly Believes She Was Fired Over Homophobic Comment
Hazel-E may have been fired from “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” Season 4, but that doesn’t mean the star plans on making a quiet exit.
Although it was reported that the decision to fire Hazel from the show was made on Oct. 4, the star reportedly insists that her contract was terminated after she shared a homophobic comment on social media. Now that she has been officially let go from the show, Hazel is considering taking legal action because she didn’t receive notice of her termination until recently.
Sources close to the reality star have told TMZ that she was sent a letter on Saturday via FedEx explaining that her contract wouldn’t be picked up for another season on the popular reality show. This letter was sent on Friday, Oct. 20, which means producers didn’t officially ax her from the show until 16 days after they said they fired her. Instead, Hazel received the letter one day after she made a homophobic comment on a now deleted Instagram post.
Hazel’s boyfriend, Rose Burgundy, initially shared the post revealing he hopes “all gays die and go to hell.” She added her thoughts to his comment section writing, “Burn in hell just like God said in the Bible.”
Although she has since apologized for the comment, Hazel was dropped from her Shoedazzle deal and the VH1 series. Sources close to the star claim that she thinks the network fired her because of the homophobic comment despite their initial statement of deciding to let her go earlier in the month.
Hazel is questioning why it took so long to make her termination official. Nonetheless, the rapper is reportedly very upset about being fired and has hired a lawyer who will help her explore her legal options.
Despite her boot from the show and the idea of filing a lawsuit, Hazel tweeted that she is grateful she is no longer on “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” which wrapped up its fourth season Monday night. “Thank God I was gonna have to do that bs for another 3 years. Gods blessings come in many forms,” she tweeted Tuesday.
