HBO On Amazon Prime Instant Video: You Can Watch 'True Blood,' 'The Sopranos' And More Today [FULL LIST]

Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) Prime members can now stream HBO shows, original movies, documentaries and comedy specials as part of Prime Instant Video. The HBO deal is exclusive to Amazon Prime, and HBO programming won't be found on other subscription services such as Netflix or Hulu Plus.

Brad Beale, director of digital video content acquisition for Amazon, said in a statement, "We’re thrilled to deliver this collection of groundbreaking, beloved content from HBO to Amazon Prime members for unlimited streaming at no additional cost. Given the number of customers who purchase these titles from Amazon, we know how much customers love these shows. We are excited to bring them to Prime members — we think they are going to love them, whether they are experiencing them for the first time or re-discovering them from the beginning."

Amazon Prime will add more HBO programming over the course of several years save for one series, "Game of Thrones." The initial offering of HBO shows will be limited to programming that has already been completed or is at least three years old. Amazon will add early seasons of "Veep," "Girls" and "The Newsroom" as part of the deal. Amazon has been signing exclusive content deals with several networks and has secured shows such as "Downton Abbey" and "Under the Dome."

Amazon Prime Instant Video can be accessed via Amazon Fire TV, Kindle Fire HDX, Kindle Fire HD, iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Roku, Xbox, PlayStation and the Wii. Amazon is offering a 30-day free trial of Prime Instant Video to try out the service. The full list of available HBO programming can be viewed below.
