Heather Dubrow Demands Answers About Brooks Ayers' Cancer Diagnosis During 'Real Housewives Of Orange County' Reunion
Brooks Ayers' questionable cancer diagnosis will steal the spotlight yet again, this time at the reunion special for Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Orange County." His health has been a topic of discussion throughout a majority of Season 10 with much of the cast doubting that he is actually sick. Heather Dubrow says after countless episodes centered around the controversy that the "RHOC" cast will be demanding answers during the reunion.
During the EVINE Live Celebration, held on Tuesday, she told the Bravo Daily Dish she was fully "ready to talk about what happened" during Season 10. Heather, 46, told the publication she, along with her co-stars, really want answers as to what has been going on with Brooks. She added that she was hopeful they will discuss it at the reunion and put it to bed. Heather noted that neither his diagnosis nor his treatment plan are anyone's business but claims he has pulled people into it.
"I think what we all want is some answers. We want to know what the heck is going on for good. Let's just flesh it out so we never have to talk about it again," she said. "I guess, you know, the Brooks thing -- it's no one's business, but you will see in the final episodes -- and at the reunion -- that some of us were pulled into this story. Especially me, in general, I got pulled into this by Brooks and now I am in."
Although Brooks maintains that he is, in fact, ill, he was recently spotted partying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Sources said he was with a group of men on what looked to be a guys night out. The onlooker added that Vicki Gunvalson's ex looked healthy as could be during the outing.
There has been a lot of speculation about Brooks' faking cancer since early in Season 10. That doubt grew among the "RHOC" ladies after a visit to Tamra Judge's psychic in episode 11. The medium told Tamra, Heather and Meghan King Edmonds that he was having a hard time picking up on Brooks' having any illness. Things escalated later that evening at Tamra's gym when Brooks revealed to the cast he would be quitting chemotherapy in favor of a holistic treatment. He has gone as far as to share his medical records with Tamra, 48, who was one of the closest friends of Vicki, 53, at the time. Still, a majority of the cast felt the documents were not real.
Brooks has spoken out about the drama, vehemently denying that he fabricated his stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis. He told Entertainment Tonight the show thrives on "manufactured drama." Brooks added that, as such, he has distanced himself from anyone involved since he did not think it was good for his health to be around such people.
"RHOC" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo. Check out a preview below for next week's episode, airing Oct. 5, 2015:
