Heather Graham Returns To The Cast Of ‘The Hangover Part 3’

After missing out on the first "Hangover" sequel, Heather Graham will be making her return to the series in "The Hangover Part 3." The details of the plot haven't been released yet, but it is possible that her character Jade will become involved with Stu (Ed Helms), whom Jade married in the first film, reports Screen Rant.

Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper and Zack Galifianakis all reprised their roles in the wolf pack for "The Hangover Part 2," the 2011 film that put the trio in Bangcock as a Vegas alternative. Reception of the film was poor, earning a 38% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The second film revolves around the group getting into another fiasco, but this time it's before Stu's wedding. Ed Helms' on screen character ties the knot with Lauren (Jamie Chung) at the end of "Part 2," so Graham's involvement in the next film mean that there is going to be some marital issues between the two.

In the off-screen drunken chaos that took place at the beginning of "The Hangover," the group encounters Jade, a lovable stripper who tags along with the guys and marries an intoxicated Stu. Though things are left open at the end of the first film, the second starts off with the couple already divorced and Stu entering a new, more realistic marriage.

Jade was also the mother of the baby that the wolf pack carries around through the beginning of their hunt for the missing groom in the original film. Baby Tyler, who Galifianakis's character Alan refers to as Carlos would be about five years old at this point, the perfect age for inappropriate "Hangover" type humor.

Screen Rant notes that the role Graham is playing could be a minor but important one. If director Todd Phillips - who also directed the first two films - wants to make this a conclusive trilogy he would need to have Jade there in some capacity.

There are rumors that the film will take place in various locations rather than just one like the previous films. A return to Vegas would be appropriate for that formula, and it would also be the perfect opportunity for the guy to run into Jade for some help, just like last time.

Also making a return after missing out on "The Hangover Part 2" is Mike Epps. According to Variety, Epps will be reprising his role as Black Doug, the drug dealer mistaken for the Doug the group was looking for.

Ken Jeong will also be given a bigger part in the film. Leslie Chow, the flamboyant Chinese gangster played by Jeong in the first two films became more important in the second, and will continue to become more prominent on screen in the upcoming threequel, reports Variety.

Franchise star Zack Galifianakis had less than optimistic words to describe the film. "Let's face it -- this is a business and Hollywood is trying to capture that magic again," he said in an interview with Moviefone.

"I'm excited to be working with those guys again," Galifianakis added. "I just want to make sure the jokes are fresh."
