Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing In Hudson River
New York authorities said that a helicopter crash-landed in the Hudson river near Manhattan on Sunday, but all five passengers have been rescued.
According to the NYPD, the helicopter's pilot and four passengers were taken to shore just before noon after their helicopter went down near the 79th Street section of the river near the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
According the A.P., a small plane crashed and sank in the Hudson River near Yonkers in January, and two people were rescued; in 2009, a U.S. Airways flight made a safe water landing after its engines were struck by geese. All 155 people aboard were rescued.
