Ray Wilson of Amarillo, Texas has lost his daughter. He's posted an emotional video on YouTube in a desperate effort to find Haley Wilson, his 17-year-old daughter, who has been missing since Dec. 26.

In uploading the video, which has received more than 167,000 views in less than 24 hours, Ray Wilson did as many do in the twenty first century, turning to the Internet and social media when hope fades. There's also a Help Find Haley Faith Wilson page on Facebook that posts information, hopes from well-wishes, and more. The saga has also gained traction on Twitter.

I love my daughter very much and threw together this video in hopes of finding her safe. Please pass this info along and God Bless. If you post to Twitter please use the hash tags #FindHaley and #LoveHaley, her father wrote on YouTube.

And, while some viewers via comments questioned the authenticity of the story, a man with the user name jasonboyett posted a comment supporting the effort's of Ray Wilson: I can also vouch for the authenticity of this story. Ray is a friend of mine, a local? musician, a successful businessman, and one of the kindest men I know. His family is devastated. Show some humanity, please.

In the video, Wilson holds up flashcards telling his story with music playing in the background -- The Texas Heat's Misty Waters. According the the MailOnline, Wilson wrote and recorded the song with the band and it is about Haley and her little sister.

His daughter, Haley Faith Wilson, ran away from home on Dec. 26 in a silver, 2003 Ford Focus station wagon, according the MailOnline. She is five-feet-six inches tall and weighs 120 pounds.

In a note he holds up in the video, Wilson writes to Haley: It's because you care and there is nothing going for me. I love you more than you know. You'll get my goodbye. All my lovin.
