Chrissy Teigen, the American model, social media personality and wife of singer John Legend, has made a name for herself. Even though majority of the couple’s combined net worth of $75 million comes from her husband, Tiegen deserves some credit for she has managed to amass millions on her own.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Teigen has earned more than $10 million from several of her endeavors, including modeling, endorsements and television projects. Since debuting in the modeling scene 15 years ago, Chrissy has cashed in on many lucrative deals and agreements.
Teigen has graced many editorial spreads of different publications, including the Maxim Calendar in 2007 and the Swimsuit Issue of Sports Illustrated multiple times since 2010, as per Women's Health. She was ranked number three on Forbes’ list of highest-paid models in 2017 and 2018, right behind Gisele Bündchen and Kendall Jenner for the former and behind Karlie Kloss and Jenner again in the latter year.
The television star’s social media accounts have millions of devoted followers, and this contributes to much of her earnings. One sponsored post from Teigen could be worth around hundreds of thousand of dollars.
Teigen’s Twitter handle currently has more than 13.5 million followers alone while her Instagram account has more than 34 million followers. As per the Influencer Marketing Hub, Teigen earns anywhere between $69,559 to $115,931 for each sponsored post on Instagram.
Other than her modeling career and social media presence, Teigen also loves cooking, especially for her family. In 2018, Market Watch reported that the model landed a cookbook deal with a Clarkson Potter editor.
After three years, Teigen now has two bestselling cookbooks, the first of which, “Cravings,” has sold more than 400,000 copies and was ranked as one of the top cookbooks in 2016. The cookbook is worth $29.99, bringing the total sales to nearly $12 million.
Teigen’s second cookbook, “Cravings: Hungry For More,” sold more than 140,000 copies in the first two months after it was published. Not only that, Tiegen also partnered with Target to launch her own cookware line, “Cravings™.”
