Here's What Michael Jackson’s Children Are Doing In 2019
As the 10-year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death nears, a tell-all documentary on HBO called "Leaving Netherland" is revealing more about the secret life of the king of pop. Despite the allegations against their father, the three Jackson children that Michael left behind are maturing and coming into their own. Here’s what Prince, Paris, and Blanket have been up to over the last 10 years.
Prince Michael Jackson
As the oldest child to Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe, Prince Michael Jackson, 22, has focused on his education since the death of his father. He graduated from The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California, in 2016 and was enrolled at Loyola Marymount University.
Today, he is involved with the Dee Dee Jackson Foundation, which is dedicated to helping children who have suffered traumas. He is a motorcycle enthusiast and posts regularly on social media about his passion.
Paris Jackson
The second child of Jackson and Rowe, Paris Jackson, 20, has had a difficult time since the passing of her father. As a teen, she sunk into a depression and attempted suicide in 2013, Rolling Stone reported. She has also struggled with drug addiction and has since become sober.
Battling depression has been ongoing for Paris with a recent stay at a mental health facility in 2019. Paris said on social media that the visit was for her emotional health and not part of a “meltdown."
Paris is the most public of the Jackson children, becoming an actress, model, and activist. She is the one that spoke at her father’s funeral, which was surprising to many as her face was finally revealed after many years of wearing a mask to protect her identity.
She is currently dating Gabriel Glenn.
Prince Michael Jackson II (Blanket)
Little is heard from Prince Michael Jackson II, 17, who was once known as Blanket. Today, he goes by the nickname Bigi. Michael Jackson Jr.’s mother’s identity is unknown as he was born via surrogate. He is the youngest of the three Jackson children.
Michael Jr. is rarely in the media spotlight as he prefers to be surrounded by friends and family, Inside Edition reported. Rarely he will attend events honoring his late father but does live a mostly private life in California, where his cousin T.J. Jackson is his guardian.
