‘Hidden Gems’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
Hallmark Channel’s lineup of new movies for Summer is about to begin, with the first new premiere of the Summer Nights 2022 lineup, “Hidden Gems.” The film, which stars Hunter King and Beau Mirchoff, debuts Saturday night.
The film will be a treat for Hallmark fans, as it will be their first introduction to the stars when it comes to the network’s movies. Neither has featured in the films previously, though they may be recognized from other roles. King is best known for her role as Summer Newman on “The Young and the Restless,” as well as Clementine on “Life in Pieces.” As for Mirchoff, some may recognize him for his role as Matty McKibben on “Awkward,” though he has also since gone on to star as Steve Sheridan on “Narcos: Mexico” and Jamie Hunter on “Good Trouble.”
So what can fans expect from this new film? Let’s find out.
“Addie (King) is the maid of honor for her sister’s destination wedding in Hawaii,” a synopsis for the film reads. “During a paddleboard yoga session, Addie loses the most cherished family heirloom: her grandmother’s ring, in the ocean. Unwilling to accept this misfortune, Addie hires a local dive instructor, Jack (Mirchoff), to search for her lost treasure.”
Things get off to a rocky start between the two, though that does begin to change as they work together.
“Lone wolf Jack immediately clashes with Addie when she insists that she search with him, given she is Scuba certified and had previous dreams of a career in marine science,” the synopsis continues. “After they come to an agreement, Jack serves as her own personal tour guide of the island’s hidden gems. Will exploring the picturesque, romantic settings bring the two of them together or will opportunity be lost at sea?”
“Hidden Gems” airs Saturday, June 4 at 8 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
