Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has a blood clot in a vein located between her brain and her skull, but is expected to make a full recovery, according to a statement from doctors at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

The clot “did not result in a stroke or neurological damage," doctors said in a statement obtained by Business Insider.

Clinton was admitted to the hospital on Sunday for treatment with blood thinners after the blood clot was discovered during a follow-up examination after a concussion sustained from a fall in her home. Experts had speculated that Clinton's blood clot was likely in her leg due to her short hospital stay, but blood clots in the head can be caused by concussions, though this side effect is relatively rare.
