Hillary Clinton Gave Shocking Response To Husband Bill’s Affair With Monica Lewinsky

Hillary Clinton got candid about Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky.

In the third episode of Hulu’s “Hillary” documentary series titled “The Hardest Decision,” Hillary’s decision to stay married to her husband was examined especially after he confirmed his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Some believed she chose to keep their marriage for cultural and political reasons, but Hillary has already spoken up.

Bill was adamant that nothing had happened between him and Lewinsky that rose above the level of flirting. Hillary confessed that she was convinced with what her husband told her.

However, when she learned that he was about to admit his sexual relationship with Lewinsky she was hurt. In fact, it shockingly came to a point when she didn’t want anything to do with her husband.

"I was just devastated. I could not believe it. I was so personally just hurt,” Hillary admitted (via The Daily Beast).

While Bill was facing the issue, Hillary wanted to get away from Washington and head to Martha’s Vineyard. She admitted that at the time, she didn’t really speak with her spouse.

“I still didn’t talk to him. I didn’t want anything to do with him. He spent a lot of time I guess playing golf and talking to a couple of his friends.”

The then-first family was photographed walking across the White House lawn to board the helicopter to Massachusetts. Chelsea was between her parents and she was holding Bill and Hillary’s hands. Hillary became teary-eyed when she opened up about the moment. She admitted that by holding their hands together, she felt that their daughter was trying to keep them together and when she did that, she admitted that it was “incredible.” She added that the gesture was “so strong and wise.”

Friends and aides had a theory that Hillary was aware of Bill’s affair, but she lied to protect him. However, they unanimously said that she was blindsided and devastated about the whole thing.

In related news, last month, Hillary was unrecognizable in her glamorous new look when she watched “Ain’t Too Proud: The Temptations Musical at The Imperial Theatre” with her husband. An expert explained that her youthful look was due to the cosmetic procedures she underwent.
