Hines Ward a Cast Member of Dancing With the Stars

Is Pittsburgh Steelers' wide receiver Hines Ward seriously going to be on Dancing With The Stars?

Unlike the Brett Favre rumors that turned out to be completely fabricated, Ward is in indeed going to be on the ABC program.

Ward, 35, had contemplated retirement. There was speculation that Ward would call it quits if the Steelers had prevailed over the Green Bay in Super Bowl XL. It appears that Ward will continue playing for Pittsburgh, but still be on the highly rated show.

Footwork is important for wide receivers, and Ward certainly has that. He's kept his toes inbounds many times to grab catches while maintaining possession of the ball.

Ward follows in the footsteps of fellow wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, who was on the program last year. The Bengals' star finished in the final four of last year's dance competition.
