H&M launches public T-shirt design contest
H&M has launched their second visual arts T-shirt competition, Your Art Here. Open to the public, the competition encourages designers from anywhere in the U.S. to upload their content to the Your Art Here website for a chance to see their art on H&M T-shirts. The winning art pieces will also be displayed in the window of H&M's store on 42nd Street and 5th Avenue in New York City.
The first step is to upload content to the website. Step two: share the art with friends and family via social media, and have them vote for the artwork. Five winners will then be selected by a jury, and have their artwork sold all throughout the U.S.
The top 25 submissions (voted on by visitors to the site) will be reviewed by a savvy jury who will select the final five winners.
The Jury
This year's jury includes internet celebrity, Bryan Grey-Yamboa, who is the creator of BryanBoy.com, a fashion-inspired blog with a large follower base. Also on the jury is New York City based fashion journalist, Clair Sulmers. Her editorial work has appeared in Newsweek, Real Simple, and New York and Essence. To see a full list of the jury, visit the Your Art Here website.
All entries must be entered before 12:01 AM EDT May 25, 2011.
