'A Holiday Spectacular' Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
Hallmark Channel's merry holiday season continues with the newest "Countdown to Christmas" holiday premiere, "A Holiday Spectacular." The film, starring Ginna Claire Mason and Derek Klenna, premieres Sunday night.
The film is set to be a truly special treat for fans because while the film's stars are new to Hallmark, they are well-known in the theater world and will certainly be bringing their talents to the film. Mason is best known for her role as Glinda in "Wicked," while Klena is best known for his roles as Nick Healy in "Jagged Little Pill" and Dmitry in "Anastasia." He has also appeared in other television projects, starring as DJ Fingablast on "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" and Wes on "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin."
Ann-Margret ("Bye Bye Birdie"), Eve Plumb ("The Brady Bunch") and The Radio City Rockettes also star.

"In 1958, Philadelphia heiress Maggie (Mason) puts her high-society wedding plans on hold in order to sneak up to New York City and make her secret dream come true: dancing live on stage in the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall," a synopsis reads. "While her family thinks she's staying in New York City with an 'approved' friend from boarding school, Maggie is living a completely different life than she's ever known."
Maggie quickly falls for the new life she's living, but she also realizes she will be forced to eventually make a choice about what her future truly has in store for her.
"She falls in love with New York and dancing with the Rockettes," the synopsis continues. "Maggie soon feels caught between two worlds, made even more complicated by her chance encounter with young U.S. navy photographer John (Klena." Will Maggie find the courage to tell her family what she wants for her future instead of accepting the future that was decided for her?"
"A Holiday Spectacular" premieres Sunday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
