‘A Home For The Holidays: 20th Anniversary’ CBS Special: Host, Performers, Details
Christmas is just a few days away, and CBS is gearing up for the big day with Friday’s premiere of “A Home For the Holidays – The 20th Anniversary.”
LL Cool J will host the hourlong special, which begins at 8 p.m. EST. He’ll introduce the night’s performers, as well as the inspirational stories about foster children getting adopted. Gwen Stefani, Lukas Graham and Train will take the stage to perform during the Christmas event.
Highlights from the Grove’s annual tree-lighting ceremony in Los Angeles will also be shown during the special. A performance by Andy Grammer from the event, which took place last month, will be one of those highlights.
“For the last two decades, the award-winning special has raised awareness for the hundreds of thousands of children in foster care and changed the lives of a generation of foster children,” according to a press release. “The special features uplifting stories of adoption from foster care, enhanced with performances by today’s most popular artists.”
“A Home For the Holidays” has featured quite a few families that adopted from foster care over the years, and 2018’s show will share updates on a few of them.
The Farmakis (featured in 2009), Mosqueda (featured in 2002) and Oden families (featured in 2015) will once again be included in the special, this time to offer updates on what they’re all up to now. The Pascucci family will also be part of the big night, and it’ll be their first time
