'Homeland' Season 4 Spoilers: Episode 11 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In 'Krieg Nicht Lieb'? [VIDEOS & PHOTOS]
Operation find Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) will be in full effect on "Homeland" Sunday, Dec. 14. In Season 4, episode 11, “Krieg Nicht Lieb,” Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) will begin her quest to bring Quinn back to safety after he escaped from the Pakistan U.S. Embassy in episode 10 with hopes of bringing down Taliban terrorist Haissam Haqqani (Numan Acar).
With Carrie unwilling to support Quinn’s cause and, for once, agreeing with the White House's orders to return to the U.S. following Haqqani’s embassy attack, Quinn will look to others for assistance. In one sneak peek video for episode 11, "I Can’t Let That Stand," Quinn looks for help from a former flame. “There was a Taliban flag waving over my head. I can’t let that stand,” he says. Despite Quinn’s name being on the CIA and the ISI’s watch list, she agrees to assist him in finding Haqqani using cell phones he stole from his men in episode 10.
After losing Fara Sherazi (Nazanin Boniadi) in episode 10, Max (Maury Sterling) will also be on Quinn’s side. Unfortunately for him, his plan to help Quinn will be thwarted by Carrie. In the sneak peek "Cannot Lose Anyone Else," Carrie catches him attempting to steal Quinn’s passport and cash from a safe inside the embassy. Despite being caught, Max refuses to give Carrie Quinn’s location, claiming she took advantage of Fara, a financial analyst, before her death.
Carrie apologizes, but Max tells her that it’s not enough. He says that she needs to avenge Fara’s death by killing Haqqani. Carrie refuses, calling the mission too dangerous.
“Since when? You never say that," Max says. “You were in charge here, and you survived. Now you’re saying there is nothing to do for her, but you are just not willing!”
“I am willing, but I just cannot lose anyone else!” Carrie says.
With her former team not on her side, Carrie goes to Aasar Khan (Raza Jaffrey) for backup. Asar’s role as the ISI’s counterterrorism chief and Quinn’s status on the watch list, however, causes a predicament.
“He thinks he can fix this by himself, but all he can do is get himself killed,” Carrie tells Aasar.
“It’s his head or mine,” Aasar responds.
While it's unsure how Quinn’s mission will end, one thing is certain: Carrie will find him.
“For once in your life, you need to listen,” Quinn tells Carrie while grabbing her throat in a promo for episode 11.
“Homeland” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on Showtime.
