Honda Recalls: 500,000 Pilot and CR-V Cars Recalled
Honda said Friday it is recalling about 554,000 of its 2002 to 2004 model year CR-V SUVs and 2003 Pilot SUVs in the U.S. because the low beam headlights might fail.
The vehicles are being recalled due to a potential wiring failure in the headlight switch, which may cause low beam headlights to become inoperative, Honda said in a statement. The loss of the low beam headlights may increase the risk of a crash, it said.
No crashes or injuries have been reported to the company as a result of the headlight wiring flaw. Honda will mail notifications to CR-V and Pilot owners in late April. Honda owners can also check if their car is affect by the recall by going to Honda's recalls website or by calling 1-800-999-1009.
