Honda revealed new photos and details of its sleek new Civic Tourer set to debut at Frankfurt’s International Motor Show taking place Sept. 12-22.

Looking pretty much like the concept version unveiled last year, Honda’s new Europe-only wagon will come with the option of Honda’s new Earth Dreams 1.6 i-DTEC diesel engine or the standard 1.8 i-VTEC regular gas engine. The Tourer will be the first Honda vehicle with the adaptive damper system that professes to improve stability and comfort under different driving conditions and loads.

Like the 2013 Civic, the Tourer won't impress drivers of high-end European wagons, such as the BMW 3-Series, but budget-conscious haulers will embrace Honda’s new bolder design elements and best-in-class interior space. With the back seats down, and items loaded to the roof, the car gives an impressive 1,668 liters (59 cubic feet) of storage on a completely flat surface.

Unfortunately, for Americans who don’t have many options for lower-priced wagons in a country going ga-ga for crossover SUVs, the Tourer will only be sold on the other side of the Atlantic. The Tourer was designed by Honda’s European team and will be manufactured at the company’s plant in Swindon, U.K., where the Euro Civic is made.
