Honey Boo Boo, 16, Makes Relationship Instagram Official, Calls Boyfriend 'Bae'

Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson just made her relationship with her beau Dralin Carswell Instagram official.

The former "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star, 16, took to Instagram to share a photo of her sitting beside Dralin, 20, Monday. In the picture, both were seen wearing matching gray shirts printed with the words, "That's How I Roll."

Alana and Dralin were all smiles in the picture, while they were holding hands. She called her boyfriend "bae" in the text on the photo. But Alana quickly deleted the post shortly after she shared it.

"Spooky season," she captioned the since-deleted photo.

It's unclear why Alana quickly took down the post. However, some netizens were able to take a screenshot of her post before she deleted it and shared it on Twitter.

"Honeybooboo has a boyfriend!!! cuffing season has arrived!!" the netizen jokingly wrote. "Also she totally missed the opportunity to say she got a 'booboo' … like it was so easy??? How did she not ?? and it’s a double pun bc [it's] Halloween."

Several netizens expressed their joy for Alana. For them, it's OK for Honey Boo Boo to start dating because she's already 16.

"Good for her. She looks adorable," one commented.

"Adorable! Happiness is the key to life," another wrote with a red heart emoji.

Alana confirmed her relationship with Dralin earlier this month after she turned 16 years old. She updated her relationship status on her private Facebook account to indicate that she's "in a relationship" amid rumors that she is dating a 20-year-old college student.

Her older sister and guardian, Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon-Efird, 21, also confirmed her dating status.

"She does have a little boyfriend who, like, comes over and stuff, like, he comes over for dinners and stuff, he’s very respectful. Everyone approves of him," Lauren told Entertainment Tonight.

"It's good having a boyfriend. I like it," Alana chimed in during the interview.

Alana and her boyfriend have been together for six months already and she doesn't mind the four-year age gap, The Blast reported. Alana's bae is quiet and is already like "one of the family," a source told The Sun.

In her previous interview with Teen Vogue, Alana said she doesn't have any friends besides her boyfriend. The reality star felt that the people around her were like "Oh, my God, I'm friends with Honey Boo Boo."

"I don’t trust nobody really, so I don’t have friends," the TLC star added.
