Horrific Video Shows Man Brutally Beating Up Wife As Family Watches In Silence; Victim Dies

Shocking footage of a domestic violence incident showed a woman being brutally assaulted by her husband, leaving her bleeding and frothing at her mouth. The victim died Sunday, the police said.

The incident in the video happened in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, reported NDTV. The woman was beaten up again Sunday, leading to her death.

The footage from the assault shows the woman in a state of delirium calling out for her mother. She was seen bleeding from her mouth. The clip shows the woman lying on a cot frothing around her mouth. A woman is seen pouring water into her mouth. Another woman is heard saying in the background, "Do not beat her so badly".

Though it is not clear who shot the videos, the footage was released to the media by the victim's sister.

Meanwhile, the local police said on Twitter that the filmed assault happened at the home of a relative a few days ago. However, the couple patched up again for a few days before she was murdered last Sunday. It is not clear why the family did not intervene.

Though a case has been registered, no arrests have been made. Police said the accused, identified as Hashim, and his family are absconding.

According to the victim's sister, the man used to assault his wife regularly. "This man had married my sister last month claiming to her that he was in the process of getting divorced from his first wife. But he used to assault her regularly. I want that something like this should never happen to any woman. He should be caught and punished," she was quoted by NDTV.

Recently, a 22-year-old woman was accused of brutally assaulting her 18-month-old son on multiple occasions and filming the attacks on her cell phone. The heart-wrenching clip reportedly showed the mother, Tulasi, beating the toddler repeatedly. The child could then be seen bleeding profusely from his nose and mouth while the woman continued with the assault. The police booked Tulasi on charges of abusing a child, voluntarily causing hurt, and assault with intent to dishonor a person.
