James Harden of the Houston Rockets is considered a man with many moves on the basketball court. And now it appears the 30-year-old is working on a new move that NBA fans will see next NBA season.

The move is a one-legged step-back three-pointer. A video has gone viral but for those who may be having a hard time imagining it, recalling how retired Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki took his shots on one leg may help. Do take note that the German took jump shots so seeing someone taking a step-back three on one leg is harder and deadly if he connects.

In an interview with Tim MacMahon of ESPN, Harden admitted that it something he is working on and will be using for the coming NBA season. He would eventually pointed out how the likes of Michael Jordan, Nowitzki and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar established their signature shots. Apparently, this is a move that he wants to establish and become known for.

“It’s me being a creator and me being an innovator and paving the way in basketball in my own way, doing it how I want to do it, and that’s what it’s all about. As a little kid playing in these parks, that’s what I imagined, that’s what I dreamed of. Now it’s coming to reality, so it’s pretty cool,” said Harden.

The added repertoire to his countless offensive weapons should be welcome news to the Houston Rockets. But with his former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate coming on board, the Bearded One is not expected to score heavily for the coming season. Unfortunately, it won't come as a surprise if still wants to score at will. He is the scoring champion for the past two NBA seasons and the 2018 NBA MVP is not expected to slow down, CBS Sports reported.

That said, it will be interesting how his reunion will Westbrook will pan out. Both players unleashed their full potential when they were elevated to their superstar role. Harden blossomed when he moved to the Houston Rockets in 2012 while Westbrook broke out when Kevin Durant opted to take his act to the Golden State Warriors in 2016. With both players known for wanting to have the ball in their hands most of the time, the task of getting everyone on the same page lies in the hands of head coach Mike D'Antoni.
