Eight teams remain in the 2020 NFL playoffs ahead of the divisional round, but there appears to be a sizeable gap between the top contenders and the long shots. A couple of wild-card winners aren’t given a very good chance to make a deep postseason run.

The Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans stand out as the most unlikely champions. They are the only teams with worse than +1500 Super Bowl odds.

DraftKings Sportsbook gives Houston +2500 title odds with Tennessee ranked last among all teams at 30/1. Both the Texans and Titans have +2900 Super Bowl odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Houston is the biggest underdog in the second round, getting 9.5 points in their road game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Tennessee is a nine-point underdog against the Baltimore Ravens, according to OddsShark.

The Texans barely survived a wild-card meeting with the Buffalo Bills, needing overtime to come back from a 16-0 third-quarter deficit. The Titans upset the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in the first round.

Baltimore is the Super Bowl favorite with +200 odds. The Ravens led the NFL with a 14-2 record, winning their last 12 games. Lamar Jackson is expected to run away with the 2019 MVP award.

Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to overtime of the 2019 AFC Championship Game when he was the NFL MVP. Kansas City is 6-1 since the quarterback returned from a knee injury. The AFC West champs gave up 11.5 points per game over the final six weeks of the regular season.

Kansas City has +350 Super Bowl odds. The Chiefs might be favored to reach the Super Bowl if they played in the NFC, where the San Francisco 49ers have +320 or +325 odds to win the conference. The Green Bay Packers have +750 odds to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

The Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings have +1400 Super Bowl odds ahead of road games in the divisional playoffs.

Houston actually won at Arrowhead Stadium 31-24 in Week 6. The Texans have won four of the last five AFC South titles with no trips to the conference championship game during that time.

Tennessee last reached the AFC Championship Game 17 years ago. The Titans would have to win three straight road games in order to win the conference.
